EDUCATION

We, Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny, came to Kalimpong in 1926. We have built up a network of Primary Schools in Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Sikkim which cater especially for children in villages and the under privileged. Recent statistics indicate that 146 Sisters are directly involved in Education. Our Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools are located in Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Sikkim where boarding facilities are available.

We have been in the educational scene for more than 80 years. Since those early days water has flowed under the bridge. The latest record states that 146 Sisters are d involved in education. Certainly this is a heavy investment in human resources. 16,437 Students study in our secondary and primary schools & 304 in our college. B Anne Marie used education as means to help each person 'To be more' for themselves < others. In 2006 we interpreted Blessed Anne Marie's vision for the present time and resolved by every means possible for us
